These terms apply to using this website, our makerspaces and our equipment. By becoming a member or attending a session you accept them.
Membership
- Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred or shared.
- Fees are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time; we do not refund part-months.
- We may suspend or end a membership for unsafe conduct, harassment, or repeated breach of workshop rules.
Using the workshops
- You must complete an induction on a machine before using it unsupervised. This is not negotiable.
- Follow staff instructions and posted safety rules at all times.
- Wear the protective equipment required for the machine you are using.
- Report damage, faults or near-misses immediately, including your own mistakes. We would far rather fix a machine than treat an injury.
- Clean your workspace and return tools before you leave.
Safety and liability
Workshop equipment is dangerous when misused. You use it at your own risk. We maintain our machines, train our members and supervise our spaces, but you are responsible for working within your competence and for stopping when you are unsure.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Your work
What you make is yours. You keep all intellectual property in your projects. If we want to photograph or write about your work we will ask you first.
You may not use our spaces to produce weapons, to manufacture goods that infringe someone else’s rights, or for anything unlawful.
Storage
Storage is provided on some membership tiers. We are not responsible for loss or damage to items you leave with us. Anything left more than 60 days after a membership ends may be disposed of.
Workshops and events
Places are confirmed by email. If you cannot attend, tell us at least 48 hours ahead and we will refund or move you. We may cancel a session if too few people register, or for safety reasons, and will refund in full if we do.
This website
We try to keep the information here accurate, but we do not guarantee it is complete or current. Opening hours, equipment availability and prices can change.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to members by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
