A day built around a simple observation: our workshop inductions skewed heavily male, and that was a problem we had created rather than inherited.
The summit ran panels with women working in fabrication, electronics and manufacturing, plus hands-on sessions on the laser cutter and electronics bench taught entirely by women members.
Membership among women rose sharply in the months afterwards, and we have run the summit annually since.
